Chatterbox talking newspaper extends support to Norfolk counterparts

The city's talking newspaper for the visually impaired is giving others a helping hand.
Chatterbox, the Norwich-based service, has extended support to other voice newspapers across Norfolk, courtesy of its donors.
The Wymondham and Attleborough Talking Newspaper (WATN) was a primary beneficiary, obtaining a grant that enabled the purchase of a new laptop and a digital USB copier for the charity.
A WATN spokesman said: “A reliable and robust laptop computer is fundamental to the digital recordings we make for our fortnightly news and quarterly audio productions and the grant will ensure that we will continue to have this for the foreseeable future.
"We also rely on a digital copying system to produce multi-copies of the USB sticks that we send to our listeners and the additional funding will enable us to increase our efficiency in this regard.”
Chairman of Norwich Talking Newspaper, Roger Ryan said: “I’m delighted that we can help.
"We know that our financial assistance will make a difference.
"Talking newspapers play a key role in the blind and vision-impaired community."
